9-9-10 Let the Wild Rumpus Begin, pint glasses available this weekend!
8-12-10 Kick off the cross season with a bang this year. The Plaster Creek Park Double Header takes place a week before the Tailwind Series Double Header, lets hope some eastsiders come experience what Kisscross is all about as they get tuned up for a great season of cross in Michigan!
The Midwest Mountain Bike Summit also takes place on the same weekend. Literally just over the railroad tracks from the park. This advocacy summit includes meals, group rides, seminars, demo rides and shuttles to various trails in our area. Founders is the title sponsor and word has it beer will be available at the summit and at the cross race! Another perk you can share with the Summit is lodging deals. The Howard Johnson’s on 28th St is less than 1/2 mile from Plaster Creek Park and will have special rates of $59.99 a night but you must call 616-241-6444 for reservations, mention bike summit/races for the best rate. They will have a bike wash area and allow bikes in the rooms as well.
Alger Bike Shop is right around the corner for all your emergency supplies and repairs.
New Kisscross pint glasses and t-shirts are in the works too. This years shirt design was created by Founders/Alger Racing’s Nicola Fester. American Apparel 100% cotton in men and women sizes.

3-31-2010 Hopcat Alleycat? I have turned over the reigns to Dan at Commute GR. Thanks Dan!
Third (or 4th?) Annual HOP CAT ALLEY CAT!! April 24th
Every year this even gets better and better, and this year Rick Plite of KissCross has handed the reins over to Daniel Koert of Commute Bicycle shop.
This is not a race! it is a scavenger hunt on bicycles around the city. the previous alley cats Daniel has put on try and be super fair to everyone, slow or fast, example: Sunset alley cat #1 the person who finished last actually had collected the second most points! so you can be fast and get done quick and win or take it slow get all the extras and possibly still win!! crazy! you just never know!

1-1-10 Barry Roubaix
The new site and registration for Barry-Roubaix is open for business! The 2010 race will feature a new start location that is large enough to handle the larger crowd we anticipate. The new start/finish at the Gun Lake Unit will be more spectator friendly also. The course will remain the same other than the longer start roll out (adds 1.5 miles to the beginning and end of the course).
